The Centre for Environmental Justice (CEJ) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which aims to protect the environment and ensure equal environmental rights for all people. CEJ promotes ecological sustainability by providing support for ecologically sound community activities. CEJ works to protect and conserve Sri Lanka's natural resources and preserve ancient wisdom that enabled previous generations to live in harmony with nature. The organizations also works to establish better environmental governance for a sustainable future, environmental justice, and equity.

Green Movement of Sri Lanka

The Green Movement of Sri Lanka (GMSL) is a coalition focused on environmental conservation, awareness creation, and sustainable development. GMSL's member organizations are involved in many fields including natural resource management, environmental conservation, consumer protection, community development, human rights, youth and women’s empowerment, and sustainable agriculture. GMSL promotes natural resource-based sustainable development through the empowerment of the poorest communities in the Sri Lankan society. The coalition also works on the conservation of Sri Lanka's natural environment through activities aimed at developing vibrant and sustainable communities across the island. GMSL provides environmental education resources and uses legal avenues and political pressure tactics to achieve their goals.

Public Interest Law Foundation

The Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which is committed to preserve, protect, and promote public interest through the rule of law with a focus on environment and social justice issues. PILF addresses important national concerns through research, policy reform, advocacy, litigation, and law enforcement. PILF works in a number of areas including environmental justice and environmental governance issues, access to information in relation to the environment, and poverty mapping in relation to air pollution and waste disposal.

The Law and Society Trust

The Law and Society Trust (LST) is a non-profit organization which is engaged in human rights documentation, legal research, and advocacy. The Trust aims to use rights based strategies in research, documentation, and advocacy in order to promote and protect human rights, enhance public accountability and respect for the rule of law. Some of LST's main activities include legal education and skills training, publications, rights awareness raising, dissemination of information, networking, and coalition building at a national and international level. LST has three programs: Civil and Political Rights Programme; the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Programme; and the Human Rights in Conflict Programme.
