The Aarhus Convention Indicators were created by Environmental Management and Law Association (EMLA), Friends of the Irish Environment, and WRI, with support from the Dutch Ministry of Environment and Infrastructure. The indicators were informed by workshop of Aarhus experts in 2015, and were commented on by the Aarhus Secretariat prior to the pilot testing. The indicators were piloted in Armenia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and Serbia. Results for Serbia have not been published as they failed to pass quality control checks.
