Andrea Sanhueza is a social worker who has spent the past 25 years leading civil society projects on democracy, transparency, accountability and public participation. Between 2001 and 2009, Andrea served as the Executive Director of Corporación Participa. Andrea has been involved in the Access Initiative since 2000, and is a member of the coalition’s board of directors and fulfills the role of the Initiative’s Regional Coordinator for Latin America. Andrea is also an active member of the political movement Océanos Azules in Chile, which promotes the participation of youth and grassroots leaders in politics.
