The Benin Environment and Education Society (BEES) is a non-governmental organization which works for the protection and sustainable management of wetlands in Benin. BEES conducts local initiatives and promotes participation by educating the public on the conservation of wildlife. The Society works to rehabilitate and improve the indigenous biodiversity of the Benin wetlands system to benefit local communities and districts, as well as national and international stakeholders, through practices that are financially sustainable, environmentally and culturally responsible, and politically acceptable
