Oikos Solidaridad Oriente is a non-governmental organization which aims to encourage open governance and sustainable development in El Salvador. The organization seeks to increase community participation in effort to establish preventative measures for risk reduction through the elimination of vulnerability generating practices. Oikos Solidaridad Oriente works in three areas: active citizenship, food security, and the management of ecological risk.
