Article 19 Brazil

Article 19 is an international organization with a specific focus on the defense and promotion of freedom of information and freedom of expression. Article 19 works with activists to develop and promote policies that protect free expression. Article 19 also assists the media with training and training resources and actively demands for the transparency and accountability of the government. In Brazil, Article 19 is campaigning for the adoption of an access to information law.

Renato Morgado

Renato Morgado is the Public Policy Coordinator at Imaflora, a nonprofit organization which coordinates projects and activities aimed at strengthening the participation of civil society in the creation of public policy and tools for transparency. Renato holds degrees in Environmental Management and Environmental Science. He specializes in participatory democracy and social movements. Prior to working at Imaflora, Renato was the President and History Professor at Associação Avante de Ensino Pré-Vestibular Alternativo.
