Consejo de la Prensa Peruna (CPP) is a press council which aims to make the media a trustworthy and reliable source of news and information. Amongst the objectives of the CPP are to maintain and strengthen the rights and responsibilities of journalism and ensure the protection of intellectual property rights. CPP seeks to propose new and better alternatives for the self-regulation of national journalism, within the framework of freedom of expression, information, ethics and journalistic responsibility.
Peruvian Society for Environmental Law (SPDA In spanish) is a non-profit organization that since its founding in 1986, promotes the effective implementation of environmental law and policies, participating actively in political and technical dialogue and in particular situations, taking action in the defense of citizen rights. The mission of SPDA is to integrate the environmental component in development policies, with the objective of reach an equal and sustainable society, and to promote a responsible citizenship under ethical and respect of nature principles. SPDA works around three major themes: natural heritage, law and governance and environmental justice.
