Ambiente y Sociedad is a non-governmental organization that focuses on defending and promoting both human and environmental rights. Ambiente y Sociedad aims to generate positive change in regulations, policies, the decision-making processes, and practices regarding environmental issues. The organization also seeks to promote the active, central, and effective participation of civil society in environmental issues. Ambiente y Sociedad’s mission is to help Colombian society better understand the impacts society has on the environment and promote a culture that respects nature, protects the environment, and advances human rights.

Grupo Semillas

Grupo Semillas is a non-governmental organization that promotes action strategies and advises and trains organizations within different sectors on various issues. Amongst these issues are sustainable management of biodiversity, intellectual property rights, traditional knowledge, the impacts of new biotechnologies in agriculture and food security, and other various environmental and agro-ecological matters. Grupo Semillas holds training sessions, workshops, and seminars and produces publications that are available to the general public. Grupo Semillas believes in equal participation for men and women and takes special care to seek the active participation of women in all of their activities.

ILSA

Instituto Latinoamericano para una Sociedad y un Derecho Alternativos (ILSA) is a non-profit organization which carries out investigations, analysis and political action focused on various social and legal issues. ILSA's objective is to offer support to social movements and grassroots organizations that are fighting for human rights; particularly economic, social, cultural and environmental rights. The organization believes that addressing these issues concerning society, law and justice are fundamental for the advancement of peace in Colombia. ILSA's work is divided into various areas of work including law, social transformations and globalization; integral human rights and public policy; and territories, migrations and forced displacement.
